An article in the April 4 edition of Education Week highlights one of the newest trends in cyber bullying- identity theft. Students are creating profiles on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace under the identities of their peers, and occasionally as administrators and teachers.
This new form of harassment has led some school officials to introduce "transition" programs, where students entering high school must take a mandatory class on internet etiquette.
